Octavo, xi, [1], [13] – 298pp. Green cloth, title in gilt on spine and front board, with vibrant green and gilt imagery on front board. No additional printings listed on copyright page. Solid text block, minor wear to tips of front board, bumped top corner, a near fine example. Some leaves unopened, copy appears unread. Complete with frontispiece, two maps and nine full-page illustrations. Two signatures reversed due to printing error, leaving pages 159-174 replaced by 271-286 with image belonging on 287 on 199.
The Indian River is a long lagoon on the eastern edge of Florida. In this book, Hine describes the flora, fauna, and scenes present along the river in the late 19th century.
