McCalmont Jr., M.D., a physician from Franklin, Pennsylvania on the front free endpaper.
Samuel P. McCalmont Jr. (1862-1917) was a physician in Franklin, Pennsylvania. The McCalmonts were often involved in the health fields, with Samuel’s sister Harriette McCalmont also studying medicine at one of the first medical schools to educate women. Their wealthy father, Samuel McCalmont, wrote the children who smoked tobacco and drank alcohol during the Prohibition era out of his will. This included Samuel Jr.
