Solid text block, faint foxing to all edges, light bump to top corner, a near fine example. In publisher’s dust jacket, $2.50 retail price on front flap, light soiling to rear panel, sunned spine, a very good example. This first trade edition was preceded by the book club edition, released in 1945.
Evelyn Waugh (1903-1966) was a renowned English novelist known for his distinctive satirical style. Educated at Oxford, Waugh gained early recognition with his debut novel, “Decline and Fall” (1928), and went on to produce a series of critically acclaimed works, including “A Handful of Dust” (1934) and this piece, “Brideshead Revisited” (1945).
