The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay tells the story of two Jewish cousins, Joe Kavalier and Sam Clay, and their contributions to the Golden Age of comic books during the chaos of World War II. This novel won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2001, and is considered by the New York Review of Books of be Chabon’s “magnum opus” (2007).
