Description
A scarce signed copy of The Canfield Decision by Vice President Spiro Agnew.
Octavo, 344pp. Red hardcover, title in gilt on spine. Text in Chinese on copyright page. In publishers dust jacket, very good, with $8.95 retail price on front flap, wear along top edge and some sunning to spine.
Inscribed by former Vice President Spiro Agnew to Ruth and Larry Megnan: “Please excuse the quality of this bootleg Chinese copy – with my best wishes and appreciation of your hospitality. May ’77. Spiro T. Agnew.”
A unique signed copy of this “bootleg copy” of the Vice President’s book, printed on notably poor quality tissue paper.
Comments: After his resignation in 1973, Vice President Spiro Agnew returned to his home in Ocean City, NJ. With a loan from Frank Sinatra for $200,000, he was able to cover his legal bills and living expenses. In retirement he wrote this book, The Canfield Decision and his memoirs, Go Quietly…Or Else.
