Description
First edition of The Geographical History of America by Gertrude Stein.
Octavo, 207pp. Cream and black cloth, title in black on spine. First printing with “EH” noted on copyright page. Solid text block, faint toning to joints and spine, a touch of wear to top and bottom edge, fore edge dyed black, a near fine example. In publisher’s first state dust jacket, $2.50 retail price on front flap, soiling to spine and covers, light chipping along flap folds, limited professional restoration to verso with previous tape marks visible, a very good example.
