Octavo, [x], 900pp. Finely bound in three-quarter leather with silk covered boards. Five raised bands, title in gilt on spine. Top edge gilt, marbled endpapers. Stated “One-Volume Edition, October 1939” on copyright page. Solid text block, faint dust remnants along top edge, a near fine example. Inscribed on the front flyleaf by the previous owner: “… Lewis III / Please Return.”
