Housed in the publisher’s green cloth clamshell, lined in silk, Mozart’s initials in gilt on spine, measures 18″ x 14″. Light wear to cloth panels, solid binding. Internally fine. Laid-in list of subscribers. From a limited edition of 550 copies produced by Thornwillow Press, this being number 11, signed by Neal Zaslaw below his introduction. A fine example.
This unique archive includes facsimiles of letters, artistic works, documents, ephemera and musical compositions related to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the composer’s death in 1791. This work was designed by Luke Ives Pontifell and printed at the Stinehour Press in Vermont. The collection was assembled and annotated by Neal Zaslaw with the Mozart Bicentennial at Lincoln Center.
